The Challenge

Due to Avelo being let down by another assessment services provider we were approached to design and deliver a competency based assessment centre to recruit 30 graduates.

How we did it

We very quickly established their core values and competencies requirements and designed a half-day assessment centre to assess 60 Graduates over a 2 day period.This was a new approach for the business and we designed and delivered a one day Assessor Training Skills program for 18 Senior Managers covering the core skills required together with full familiarisation of the content of the assessment centre.Working alongside a 3rd party supplier we managed candidates through the process asking them to undertake both verbal and numerical online tests.

The Outcome

The successful appointment of 54 graduates over 2 years with 99% retention.


The Assessment Partnership has been an amazing addition to our graduate recruitment program. The service provided was exceptional and they demonstrated fantastic discipline, organisation and encouraged people to really understand what ensures a good recruitment process. We partnered with The Assessment Partnership to run and help guide our Senior managers in 4 assessment centres which resulted in 54 graduates joining the business. Without them the assessment Centres would not have been as successful.
